As maestro Hans Graf begins his last season as music director of the Houston Symphony, he kicks off the festivities with a concert that features many of the musicians in the orchestra, among them Thomas LeGrand, clarinet; Aralee Dorough, flute; Judy Dines, flute; Mark Hughes, trumpet; Alexandra Adkins, violin; and Sophia Silivos, violin.
The concert includes: Smetana's The Moldau, Debussy's Rhapsody for Clarinet and Orchestra, Doppler's Finale from Concerto for Two Flutes and Orchestra, Smetana's Dance of the Comedians, Hovhaness' Prayer of St. Gregory for Trumpet and Strings, Moszkowski's Finale from Suite for Two Violins and everyone's favorite, Ravel's Boléro.
