With some pocket money, 16-year-old Hans Graf bought his first miniature orchestral score. It was the partiture to Brahms' Symphony No. 4. From that moment, he fell in love with the lush textures, delicious harmonies and multiple layers that render this German composer's music timeless.
The "Best of Brahms" series features just that, the best of opus of one of classical music's trinity, alongside Bach and Beethoven. Program A includes Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 and Symphony No. 1.
