The luncheon will feature keynote speaker Andrea White, who authored a children's book about The Heritage Society's most recently acquired historic building, the 1893 Baker Family Playhouse. Her remarks will focus on how an object can tell a story — a story of hurricanes, modernization and of time.
Houston's Parks and Recreation department director Joe Turner will serve as the master of ceremonies.
