The John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science will present Cocktails and Conversations: How to Feed a Growing Planet, a panel discussion exploring a variety of viewpoints on global food security. Guests will hear from local experts, farmers, and those addressing the food crisis. Guests will explore food insecurity on a local level as well as food waste, malnutrition, and sustainable solutions to the hunger crisis. Individuals will also learn what they can do to contribute to greater sustainability, urban farming, and alternative protein and food sources.

Speakers will include Kathy Lipman, Houston Food Bank; Gabriel Durham, UH Office of Sustainability; Dr. Shreela Sharma, Brighter Bites; and Phil Gurley (Moderator), Blackwood Farms.

Guests will be able to enjoy cocktails and sustainable food options during this event.
