She completed a BFA at the University of Western Australia in 1996 and is currently undertaking a practice-led Ph.D. of Visual Arts at Australian National University. She has exhibited extensively over the past 20 years throughout Australia and Europe, and has completed several large scale commissions such as Melbourne's Citadines Hotel. Also she has been featured in the book Unfinished Journey by Ken MacGregor.

Jonathan Cowan was born in Temple and lived in San Antonio, where he received his BFA from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
