Widely credited for changing the course of the two wars, both Iraq and Afghanistan, General David Petraeus was instrumental in reshaping military doctrine in his 37 years of distinguished service. Following his military career, he led the CIA, overseeing America’s global counterterrorism campaign and the establishment of a new Economic Security Center.

In addition to being decorated by 13 foreign countries, General Petraeus has received prestigious U.S. military, State Department, NATO, and United Nations awards. He currently serves as chairman of the Global Institute of KKR, as a visiting professor of public policy at CUNY’s Macaulay Honors College and a Judge Widney Professor at the University of Southern California.

General Petraeus will address the significant global challenges facing countries and organizations today, including ongoing international security issues, macroeconomic trends, energy policy and the tasks of strategic leadership in the 21st century.
