Add to Other Calendars (iCal file format)Galveston Island's Independence Day fete begins at 7:30 p.m. with a parade featuring floats, decorated military vehicles and performers strolling down Seawall Boulevard from 28th to 45th Streets. After the parade, the island will host a 20-minute fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard. The beachfront fireworks display, sponsored by the Galveston Park Board of Trustees, will begin at 9:15 p.m.
