In addition to the coveted Grand Prix de Show, prizes will be given in categories including Best Architectural Icon, Tallest Standing Structure, Best Traditionally Themed, Best Non-Traditionally Themed, Most Creative Interpretation of Materials and Public Favorite.
Gingerbread buildings will be judged by an independent panel of food, design, art and architecture professionals. Following the Build-Off, winners and select competitors will be featured in an exhibition at Architecture Center Houston, Dec. 10-14.
Team registration is $125 and can be completed online. The public is invited to attend this free event and cheer on the teams as well as build their own mini gingerbread structures at the spectators' table.
