Ek: an English Musical on the Life of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba is an original production about the life and times of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba, who is considered a saint to Muslims and a god to Hindus. Ek tells the story of a mysterious man who made his home in the town of Shirdi in 1858. Strange and withdrawn, Baba dressed simply, lived for years under the shade of a neem tree and preached acceptance of all, regardless of religion or caste.
A musical combining flavors of Broadway and Bollywood, Ek captures the tense Muslim-Hindu dynamics of the 19th century and depicts why Shirdi Sai Baba remains a religious icon for even decades after transforming the lives of those in one small village.
