Steampunk is a literary sub-genre of science fiction and fantasy that usually features steam-powered machinery. It is most often depicted in an American Wild West or British Victorian setting from the 1800s. Popularized by the fiction works of H.G. Wells, Mary Shelly and Jules Vernes, Steampunk has inspired aesthetics in the fields of movies, fashion, art, literature and even architecture.
Guests are encouraged to wear Steampunk gear and costumes.
On view through Nov. 21.
