Chimera Magazine presents Fears
Fears, an exhibit curated by Chimera Magazine, will be on display at Creative Heights gallery in the Houston Heights. The show coincides with the release of the magazine’s latest issue.
Fears was a call for artists to submit work that creatively expresses fear in all of its manifestations, whether physical or psychological. The theme was meant to inspire artists to think expressively about their greatest sources of concern, anxiety, or despair, and, in turn, to invite the audience to consider the question through the perspective of those works as well. Titles of pieces submitted include names such as Ophelia, A Portrait of Detachment, and The Diseased. Works submitted range in medium from collages, to paint and sculptural pieces.
Chimera Magazine is an arts and culture publication that showcases Houston culture by highlighting the accomplishments of local artists. Featured content includes reviews of creative projects, exclusive interviews, and media such as time lapse videos of artists at work.
