In partnership with Interfaith Ministries and ISKCON of Houston, the Chapel will present an inspiring conversation with Radhanath Swami and Rev. Jim Bankston, senior pastor at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. The evening's topic "Blindsided by God: Unexpected Lessons of Faith" will highlight their surprising and transformational spiritual lessons.
This program will be preceded at 6:15 p.m. by a vegetarian meal on the Chapel Plaza. To register click here.
Radhanath Swami is a Vaishnava sanyassin (a monk in a Krishna-bhakti lineage) and teacher of the devotional path of Bhakti-yoga. He is author of The Journey Home, a memoir of his search for spiritual truth.
Bankston's 36 years of dedication to the United Methodist Church are filled with testaments to his deep love of God and all of God's good creation as well as his remarkable pastoral and leadership abilities. He has embraced the interfaith ministry of the City of Houston, building relationships with leaders in the Jewish and Muslim communities and beyond.
