Add to Other Calendars (iCal file format)Back by popular demand, with even more yummy locally grown treats to try, REI and Bayou City Outdoors host the third Green Scene 101 & Houston Foodie Extravaganza, an event that focuses on Houston's local foodie green scene. Guests will meet some of the top purveyors in the industry, which might just have a tasty morsel or two to share.
With farm cooperatives, daily farmers markets and more than 20 community gardens throughout the city, guests will discover where to fill up on vegetables, where to pick tomatoes, blueberries and flowers, and where to find artisan cheeses, craft beers and local coffee.
