On the third Wednesday of every other month, Fresh Arts hosts artists from varying disciplines to present their latest work in an informal environment. A question-and-answer session follows, where the audience can find out more about creative methods, challenges and everything in between. The series provides a place to get to know the many artists who live in or travel to Houston.

August's Fresh Arts Artist SPEAKeasy features Lisa Chow and Y. E. Torres (ms. YET), who will discuss the collaboration behind their current joint exhibition in the Fresh Arts gallery Once there was, once there wasn't: Two tales from the minds of Lisa Chow & Y. E. Torres. Drinks and bites are served at 6:30 p.m.; talks are underway at 7 p.m. Guests are invited to come and go as necessary.
