Aperio's 10th Anniversary Concert with Ana Maria Martinez
Aperio, Music of the Americas, celebrates its 10th anniversary with a special concert featuring internationally acclaimed soprano Ana María Martínez.
Grammy Award-winner Martínez is considered to be one of the foremost sopranos of the time, with an international career that spans the world's most important opera houses and concert halls. She will perform the celebrated Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, alongside selections by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona and Spanish composer Xavier Montsalvatge. Framing these are works by the revered Argentinean composer Alberto Ginastera and Cuban expatriate Paquito D'Rivera.
