Aurora hosts a video salon during happy hour for a talk with Museum of Fine Arts, Houston curator Marian Luntz on the topic of Robert Frank.
The video salon series with Aurora Picture Show invites a visiting curator to lead a free educational talk on a specific topic of expertise in the media/film field. Photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank (born in 1924 in Switzerland) is best known for his influential series of photographs, The Americans, and such films as Pull My Daisy (1959) and Cocksucker Blues (1972).
MFAH curator of film and video Marian Luntz will discuss the trajectory of Frank's moving image work, share anecdotes of working with Frank and screen selections from his filmography that now totals more than 30 titles.
